This
Online Stormwater Training course is co-sponsored by the Association of
Towns of the State of New York, developed by the New York State
Builders Association, and taught by John E. Folchetti, CEO, P.E., of J.
Robert Folchetti and Associates, Stormwater Trainer SWT#0045-T.
The program is designed to bring developers, builders, contractors,
inspectors and anyone involved with soil disturbance activities into
compliance with the State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES)
Construction Activity General Permit # GP-10-001 (formerly
GP-0-08-001). A Stormwater Trainee identification number will be
assigned to each person that completes the NYSDEC 4-hour training.
Members of the Association of Towns members will receive the NYSBA
member rate for the course which is $199 – a discount of $100 compared
to the Non-member rate. Please contact Chris Anderson at the Association

Each trainee will be required to provide the requested contact
information on the registration form. This information will include your
email address, contact telephone number and home mailing address that
appears on your New York State Driver License (or New York State
non-driver photo ID) together with your Driver License number or NYS
non-driver photo ID number.

Once your application is processed you will receive an email with your
login and password that will allow you access to the training website.
You will have 30 days from receipt of your login to complete the course.
The online training is composed of eight half-hour sessions. NYSBA will
provide the names of the Trainees who have completed the course to
NYSDEC for processing and delivery of certificates and wallet cards.
Important Information to note:
- While it is not mentioned anywhere on the brochure or online,
town officials may pay by check. This can be done by mailing a check
directly to the New York State Builders Association after you’ve created
your account. Please include a letter indicating what the payment is
