Can we count you in?

February is a critical window for state legislators to hear directly from towns about priorities in the SFY 2026–27 State Budget. NYAOT is urging members to reach out to their Assemblymembers and Senators to share what matters most to your community.
To make outreach as easy as possible, NYAOT has compiled a set of budget advocacy resources on our Legislative Resource Hub, including:
•A comprehensive summary of the Executive Budget
(including detailed overviews of the SEQRA and drone proposals)
•Sample resolutions
•Sample email and letter templates
•A one-page leave-behind for meetings with legislators
In-person meetings are always valuable, but we understand schedules are tight. Any outreach - email, phone call, Zoom meeting - makes a difference. The most important thing is ensuring your representatives hear directly from you.
NYAOT will also be testifying on the State Budget on Wednesday, February 11.
