Calling all NYAOT Members Who Want to be a Part of our Rural Communities Council
Rural towns face unique challenges — from limited staff capacity and infrastructure needs to workforce shortages, funding barriers, and service delivery concerns. That’s why the created the Rural Communities Council: a dedicated forum for
town officials to discuss issues, share ideas, and help shape advocacy, programming, and resources for rural communities across New York State.
Join us for the Council’s first meeting on May 28 from 6:00–7:00 PM EDT. To make participation easier, this meeting is being held in the evening for town officials balancing other jobs and responsibilities.
Topics will include:
• Recurring concerns facing rural towns
• Potential NYAOT advocacy priorities
